Our Junior 2 and Junior 3 teams set off for five days in Oregon at Lewis & Clark College for an unforgettable week with Dream Camps.
We arrived on Monday night (also known as day zero). We used this time to get moved into the dorms, have some bonding time and team meetings before heading off to bed early for a big day one ahead of us.
Day One was filled with learning the camp dance, tons of stunting, pyramid, learning dismounts and transition along with tumbling. They had all state-of-the-art equipment at our disposal and it was very impressive. The instructors were second and to none and we also got to see our favorite choreographers Caylee and Josh. Once instruction was done for the day we had games and contests at night.
Day two and three was more of the same! A lot of stunting but we got to work on our routine stunts and pyramids so it was so helpful! We spent our evenings with a cook out, campfire, dance contests, lip sync and back up dancer contests and so much more. They kept us busy around the clock and also offered open gym at night.
Day four was show off day and our girls didn’t disappoint! Both teams did a mini routine consisting of stunts, a pyramid, tumbling and dance.
We had so many successes including two spirit awards, multiple All American nominees (2 were chosen to receive All American rings) and a 3rd place camp champion for the V.I.Ps. It was such a successful week. Our two youth teams will have Dream Camps coming to us August 1-3rd. We are so excited for that! Cannot wait to go back next year.
